This assessment was made so we can design our own schedule for our Health 44 class. Since this is a winter class, it makes everything fast passed. This projects helped me schedule both of my classes so that i can fit them with work. I was able to use this assessment to help me study for both of my classes without stressing as much. College is all about work and studying which can cause stress especially if its a 6 week course instead of the regular 16 weeks. Taking two classes and managing work and life ,i feel, is really tough if you dont write it down on a schedule or in this case an online document. I will keep using this method for my next semesters, even when i transfer. It seems to really work. Sometimes is had to priorities other things and make a few changes but thats just how life is. Nothing can remain the same for a short amount of time.
Mini-Unit Assessment #2 Guidelines: You will need to pick one of the following topics:

Once you decide on a TOPIC you will then need to figure out which age group you are targeting. Then come up with a SLOGAN. So for example, the ad campaign Mother's Against Drunk Driving came up with MADD! This was and still is recognized nationally.Be creative and original! You may copy pictures from websites but create your own SLOGAN.
Doing this assessment made me look beyond my original understanding of health campaigning. I choose to do my flyer on Weight loss. However, even though I focused on weight loss, i made sure to focus on the healthy aspects not on the physical attractiveness of the human anatomy. The reason for this is because many females want to loss weight for the wrong reasons. They mostly do it to achieve that "perfect" body that is posted all over the media. We, including myself, do not seem to realize that being healthy has nothing to do with how you look on the outside but how you feel. I choose this picture because the women in it look healthy. They all have different body types to represents that every single body is different. The reason i wrote "Healthy has never looked this good" is because people tend to represent being healthy with being thin.
Mini-Unit Assessment #3 FITT work out
This assessment was designed so we could make our own work out regimen. We had to make a work out plan that would fit into the FITT components. I did not know what FITT workouts looked like. Upon researching more about these types of work outs became to interest me. These workouts listed were only an outline to a more permanet plan. I actually want to keep working on this regimen a time goes by so i can improve my physical health. Even though these work outs might be generic, if you do them under the FITT program you can intensify the outcome.

My environmental health goal was to reduce the amount of electricity my family and I use throughout the week. We have the bad habit of leaving the lights on after we leave the room. We started with the simple task of turning of the lights whenever we leave the room. We also stopped turning on the light whenever it wasnt necessary. So far we have managed to do great. I want to keep this habit going so we can reduce the amount of energy we use and to reduce the electricity bill. It will help us economically and environmentally.
Our environment is a crucial component to our health. The locations where we live can alter our health. Everywhere we go we can be exposed to harmful pathogens in our environment that can a change our entire health. This assignment helped me write down my goals and how I can achieve them. I decided to cut down on electricity because the energy that we use contributes to our pollution. It also helps when it comes to our electricity bill. I live in the Pasadena area so bills here are no joke. Me and my family also wanted to discipline ourselves to use less energy than what we actually need.
